Hopefully the first couple of months of this new year have been treating you well and you are in good health and good spirits.

No I’ve not seen the commercial you mentioned. Believe me if I was at a game rooting for my boys you’d probably figure out it was me. You’d also be shocked by the profanity coming out of my mouth as I yelled :D

Hey Osita, how are you? Are you staying safe with COVID and everything else going on? I work in healthcare and things have been pretty strange, for sure. Staying safe, but there’s definitely a higher risk. Hope you are well. If you see this, just let me know you’re doing ok.

I’ve been checking to see if you would respond. So glad to hear from you and to know that you are doing all right! I am well. Tired, but doing fine. I’ll admit that everything that’s going on right now from the pandemic to the political spectrum is weighing on me, so I do appreciate your message and thank you for making me smile, like always.

Has it really been seven years??? Holy cow! So much has happened in those seven years. I’m sure the same for you. I definitely recall our conversations fondly. I have to go back and read them. To think that we’ve never actually met, but I do think of you fondly and as a friend. Who knew a site like this could lead to that, lol. Are you super bummed about sports right now? I am. It’s one area of life that I greatly enjoy. But, I’d much rather people be safe. If/when the Bears play the Pack again, Maybe I’ll wander to Green Bay or Chi town and walk around the streets with a “Are you my Osita?” sign

I kinda wish they had not brought back the MLB and NBA. Would it really be so awful to skip sports for a season if it kept everyone safe. It’s not like the players are in desperate need of money.

Our chats from long ago are deleted from my blog. But I do remember enjoying your company Ti. I’m sure you’ve made new friends on the Resident side. That’s the great thing about being a Resident. You've got access to communicate one on one with a person and chat with folks you wouldn’t have otherwise.

I actually haven’t spoken with anyone on here since paying to be a resident. I honestly only paid to see if you were still on here. I don’t check the site hardly at all now. You were the only person who I interacted with who was genuine. Still can’t believe it was that long ago! So glad you’re staying safe, though. Most people around where I live are very much believers that this is an overblown leftist plot. <sigh> I’m going crazy, Osita. Completely bonkers, lol

I hope you have not gone over the edge bonkers. It’s so frustrating to have to deal with ignorant people who try to downplay all of this. It’s all fake till they or someone they love gets sick.

Trying to decide if I want to renew my membership. I’d read that there were problems with PM’s and Chat. Doesn’t make sense for me to renew if those things don’t work. Hmmm...

Oh Ti, your concern for me warms me from top to bottom. How kind and sweet you are. I’m doing alright these days. So much cruelty and evil going on in the world. I’m trying to stay positive and be grateful for my blessings. I hope life for you is going well and you are happy.

Is your membership for the whole year? I’ve been considering renewing my membership but I wasn’t sure if the site would be around for much longer. I read a rumor that the site wouldn’t be around in the new year but here it is. If I renew we can chit chat then. :)

I totally understand what you say about the world. I look at what is happening and it really gets to me. I wonder if it will ever change for the better. The hopeful side of me says yes, but the realist says no.

I didn’t know about this site going under. I really only came back to check on you and say hi every once in a while. I followed a couple of people the first day or two when I started my membership, but I’ve honestly only come back to see of you responded.

Did you catch the Packers’ spectacular flop against SF? So painful to watch. Oh well... my football passion has tempered quite a bit in the last few years. Still a fan, but not as invested in outcomes, I guess. Maybe I’m maturing a bit?

Have you seen that credit card commercial where they show the Bears’ fan dressed in an entire bear costume? I wondered if that could be you, lol.

This made my day. I actually thought of you the other day as well. A friend was talking about Chicago deep dish (something I've never had), and I thought of my friend, Osita. How are you? I'm nearing finals and things are a bit crazy. But, I've been getting more and more experience and they have us working in clinics seeing and treating patients on Fridays, which has been awesome. How have you been? Are your many fans keeping you busy? As always, wishing you the very best.

Do you like comics? If you say "yes" I'll melt. My nerdiness is going to be really evident if I answer this questions. Obviously I love any Batman comic. He's my #1 favorite. Generally I like DC but do not discriminate when it comes to reading comics. As far as cars--fast and sporty. I split my dream cars into a few categories: 1) I can buy it one day. 2) It might be possible if I somehow fall into some money. 3) It will never be possible, but a guy can dream, right? So, #1 is a Nissan 370Z Nismo. #2 is a Nissan GT-R. #3 a Sallen S7 TT. How about you?

I don't read comics. But when I was little I remember a family member had Archie comics I'd read. My nerdiness is for shows like Big Bang Theory. Would you let me read your comics?

I'm not a car person. If it runs and gets me where I need to go it's fine by me.

Of course I would let you read my comics! (And that is a true sign of trust in a friendship. It's a widely known rule that you only let the very most trustworthy people read your comics.) I think you'd like Batman. He straddles that line between good and evil, usually doing what's right but always having to fight his own demons in order to do so. I love it. And, by the way, I love the Big Bang Theory. I have a lot of the same shirts that Sheldon wears.

I hear you about the cars, although I dream a lot. But right now, as long as it gets me to work and back, I'm happy.

Not serious like other people. I do have tons of books because I'm a pretty avid reader. (Or, used to be until this year. Been super busy.) Comics . . . I read comics as a kid, but always from friends. I was always a money saver, so reading my friends' comics was pretty cheap. Now, if I get a comic, I borrow them from the library. It's cost effective. But I haven't read one for a while.

Too bad there wasn't a chat function on here. That would make things fun. (Do the paid people have chat on this site?)

Yes Residents do have a instant chat feature as well as private messaging. Both work well for private chatting and it's faster.

Yup, back in school. It's been a while, but the time came to go back. Going a completely different direction but I am really enjoying it. It's actually the one thing that has kept me going this last little while. So . . . yeah. The money saved by going to the library is paying my tuition. lol

But I wanted you to know that even though I don't know you personally, I'm grateful for the little friendship we created over a few chats. Believe me, it came at a time I really needed it.
